Retail was neither good nor bad today; it was simply okay.
I got back into New York a bit after 7, and went to Patsy’s for absolutely yummy Italiano.
I had sliced fried eggplant & zucchini with a garlic dipping sauce, spaghetti al polpette (fancy word for meatballs), and black & white chocolate mousse cake. So much for my diet!
There are few greater combinations than great food, great conversation and laughter.
New York is at her finest during the holiday season. There’s so much hustle and bustle, but not the tense I gotta get somewhere so get outta my way kind; it’s the smiling I love this time of year kind.
Everyone buys till they’re broke, and then they buy some more!
Now I’m home, and happy as can be on my futon with laptop my good and faithful companion.
And I have two days off to ahead of me. The early part of Sunday will be spent getting laundry and general straightening up done.
Rented Lady in the Water, and will watch that after chores with a big bag of fresh popped kettle corn. The reviews have been quite mixed, well actually they have pretty stinko, but I rented it because I am a big Paul Giamatti fan.
During the evening I am going to work on the meme blog I want to move here to Word Press.
And of course, I’ll take time to ring in the New Year with lots of phone calls, a little journal writing, meditation and music.
2007 is like a fresh new book that I can’t wait to start.
