A Bit of a Makeover…

It all started when I took Thursday off.

I decided to give up on letting my hair grow out.  It just wasn’t happening you know.

As the stylist was blow drying my new sassy cut she remarked on how all my grey blended so well with my natural color.

When she was done she handed me a mirror, and spun the chair round.  The back of my head was practically silver!

That’s when I decided it was time to start coloring my hair again.  I used to when I was in late teens.

I was always a blond for  summers, and some sort of red during the winters. 

Right after the hair cut I went across the street and had my nails and eyebrows done.

Later at the CVS I chose Garnier Nutrisse’s Acorn; I figured if it was good enough for Sarah Jessica Parker…

I had mini spending spree at Sephora; I bought a Fresh mascara, cappuccino eye shadow, Stila medium pressed powder, and a Dolce Vita lipstick.  94 bucks!

The last time I wore make-up was at my daughter’s wedding two and a half year ago.

But you know what?  Everyone once in a while a girl just has to do has a girl has to do.

Tonight I bought some L’Oreal shampoo for color treated hair, rollers and make-up brushes.

I also dug out that fancu hair dryer with the built in brush I bought years ago.  I hope it works.

Now I’m sitting here contemplating some new clothes.

All this because I got rid of my grey!
