Made a major ebay purchase.
Cost me a nickel.
Yup, I kid you not. I bought one of my all-time favorite reads for just five cents; a first edition paperback of The Unoriginal Sinner & The Ice Cream God by John R. Powers.
The shipping and handling charges were three bucks and change - still a bargain.
I could tell the seller appreciate books by how carefully it was wrapped. In addition to a bubble-wrap envelope, the book was carefully wrapped in a sheet of wax paper.
John R. Powers like me grew up Catholic. He did his time in Chicago, me in New York.
I had been wanting to re-read that book for a long time, but couldn’t find it in any stores. So I decided to do what most of America is doing, and search for it on ebay. One copy turned up, it was one of those Buy It Nows so I did.
I’m saving it for a quiet evening.
How are all of you?

Yay! I had the same luck through e-bay when I went looking for Masquerade by Kit Williams.
