This coming spring/summer is the last season that the Coney Island I have always know and loved will exist.
The powers that be want to modernize it.
Heart and I took these pics on one of his trips to NYC.
I can still taste the greasy fries, and smell the salt spray mixed with 40 odd varieties of sunscreen.

That is such a shame!!!
All I’ve ever seen of Coney Island must have been in the movies, but you have captured that atmosphere so well!

It IS a shame….it is AWFUL. To destroy something that is well…history!!!!! I’m so glad you share you photos as you do. And, I’m not just saying it either…..I REALLY, REALLY mean it!!!!
