my favorite camera is no more…

After much faithful service my Canon Powershot 3.2 stopped operating yesterday.

The extended warranty and insurance were long expired.

I bought a new Canon, but please don’t call it a replacement.

That 3.2 produced my most favorite pictures.

It never let me down.

My new 8.0  will surely give me great service, but it will always be the new camera.

Sending good vibes to all.

  1. Awww… I’m so sorry about your camera! I’m sure the new one will be good, and in time it will come to be a friend to you like the old one. Similar to, but not the same.

I love your photos of the planetarium – they are stunning! And I can’t believe you are going to take on another NaBloPoMo contest! Congratulations on sticking with Blog365, you are doing great, and I promise I will be a more regular reader and commenter now that I am back from my trip.

    Take care!

  2. Ohhh! How sad!
I don’t know if they are related at all but I have a Canon Powershot S45, and it is always within my reach! To take pictures on the patio, or when I’m cooking or see a sunset, or take a walk … whatever! So I know what you’re going through, I think?

  3. I changed my trusty Nikon for a cheap and cheerful pocket size job. But I’m delighted with it and as a result started a photoblog. I’d love to look in. My name should take you there.

  4. I feel your pain!
    Sorry for your loss!!! :(

  5. I’m sorry you’ve had to put your Canon 3.2 to rest. He’s obviously been a loyal, trustworthy and talented friend and the two of you have made a good team! (or should it be ‘she’?!)

I hope you get to like the 8.0 soon enough. I agree, it shouldn’t be thought of as a ‘replacement’, but rather an ‘addition’ to the family!
