These little rascals usually scamper away when you pull out your camera. I say it’s not out of fear; they just want to make you a little crazy.

Frances, there are three of these guys hanging out outside my condo complex every morning, and I keep thinking I want to catch them on camera, but they’re way too quick for me. Even though they are some of the FATTEST squirrels I’ve ever seen in my life, they’re still WAY too quick for me!

Now that is a chunky squirrel.
My own back yard will be FULL of them, but they scatter when they hear the door open because they associate it with a dog coming out to chase them. The door makes them run now, even if the dog’s not coming out.

Oh, how cute!! I have to tell you my squirrel story now! We have “dumb” squirrels at the cottage. This one particularly chunky squirrel decided to jump from one branch to another tree…..well, he tried and landed KER THUMP and BOUNCED off the top of my jeep before bouncing onto the ground and then scampering off….he must have been hurtin’ for awhile!!!
