RE: Blogging Past & Present

About eight years ago I began blogging at a free Xanga site.
I didn’t even own my own laptop; I used my work computer.
The first laptop was my 40th birthday present to myself. It was a Dell that had everything purchasable at the time on it. Can you imagine it had both a CD and floppy disk drive?
I can’t remember the last time I saw a floppy.
Today I was shopping around for what will be my 4th laptop.
Currently I post to this main blog as well as a meme, creative writing, photo and mobile blog.
I am part of a fabulous blogging group called She Who Blogs, and we have a group blog too.
Just a few minutes ago I was planning the first post for a new blog all about New York.
All my blogs have their own web addresses, and I host at WordPress, Typepad and Blogger.
Posting is done via desktop, laptop or one of two mobile devices.
This one is coming at you from my Sidekick ID via The WordPress Gadget.
Because of blogging I became passionate about digital photography, which led to my taking classes in web design and Photoshop.
It’s been an amazing time for me, filled with the creativity I longed for, and great online buddies, some of whom I’ve met in person.
Uh oh look at the time. Gotta rock ‘n roll.
