out a post of any substance.
Allergies are kicking my butt for the second week now.
I’ll leave you with this photo; tomorrow you’ll find out where these pears live.

1, Lunch with best galpal – She’s not been well, and it was great to be out and about with her.
2. Clearance Sale at Old Navy – 4 really cool t-shirts for 10 bucks. My favorite has a subway car screened on it.
3. Lemon is now available for tea. Let me not get into how their not having lemon for tea has annoyed me over the years.
And while it’s only lemon juice in those little plastic packs, it’s a start,
4. Dinner plans with my favorite mother-daughter team.
How is/was your Sunday?

has just won his first gold medal in Beijing; it is also the 7th one of his career.
Sitting here in one my favorite neighborhood spots watching it all happen on the bar TV.
There was a round of applause here when he finished the event, and I don’t mind telling you I wiped away a tear.
It just makes you feel so red, white and blue.
Yay! USA

The chinese believe the number 8 to be lucky.
Four is not considered lucky at all. A friend of mine in the wireless business tells me that the cellular companies understand this, and will provide “fourless” phone numbers for those customers, Cool, huh?
When I had a Sprint mobile I had to request a number change because a drunken man of Hispanic origins would call me all the time asking to speak to Jessica.
The calls came from all parts of the country, so I figured he was either a traveling salesmen or on the lam.
No matter how many times I told him this was no longer Jessica’s number he refused to believe me. Over and over he would beg me in Spanish and broken English to please put Jessica on the phone, becuuuuzzzzz he luuuuvvvvveeedd her.
One night I totally lost patience and yelled at him,
“You’ll never see her again! I’ve tied her up and hidden her under the bed!”
Then I called Sprint and asked for a new number.
Just back from a trip to Atlantic City, I decided to ask for a number with 7′s in it.
They obliged me with three in row! I was quite the happy camper.
So the question is did you feel this was a lucky day for you?
Mine was actually quite good.
Speaking of sevens – my previous post is seven camera phone pics from Heart.
I think they are pretty neat.
Adios amigos & amigas.

Last night I was talking to my dear friend Heart.
“Five things week is up – give me a new theme.”
“How about five camera phone pics from your friend in LaLa Land?”
Heart is currently on the West Coast, and we’ve been Multi-Media Messaging quite a bit.
Thank goodness for unlimited packages.
Here’s seven – I couldn’t pick just five – there’s a few more which will be up soon.

1.) I think pretty fast on my feet. On more than one occasion I’ve pulled an explanation out of thin air.
2.) The way my hair & eyes look when I wear green or gold.
3.) My laugh – kinda like bubbly water
4.) My hands – especially after a manicure
5.) How I’m getting a little less uptight about things as I get older. It’s a process.

1.) My iced chai with soy milk – I’m at Starbucks.
2.) The young woman next to me stares dreamily at a tropical photo filled laptop screen. A milti-colored flip flop is dangling off her right foot. A seaside romance? Upcoming vacation?
3.) My feet tapping along to the beat of the music pouring out of the sound system.
4.) The wild eyed weirdo whose trying to strike up a conversation with any woman in the place. He tried me first – the look I shot him made him physically step back. Hey, I’m a life-long New Yorker. We ride the subways baby.
5.) That sweet little counter girl who makes everyone feels like the only customer in the place.

At first glance you might think this is a nun – nope.
It’s The Umbrella Guy. Well, that’s what I call him.
His outfit is made out of black umbrella fabric.
I can tell because the little metal tips are all still on.
He walks around Washington Square Park quite a bit.

I took this on my last trip to Coney Island.

A pic of my black croc and flowered bag on the downtown 2 train.
No idea why I felt like taking that, or this next one of a guy standing next to an air conditioner.
What can I tell you?
Sometimes I simply point and shoot.

I googled this, but only found similar photos on flickr.
I’m guessing a band and/or album.
