We may go to the moon, but that’s not very far. The greatest distance we have to cover still lies within us.

prompts needed

Lissa just made a groovy new header for my creative writing blog.

Looking forward to your comments/prompts.

Ciao for now

full moon over the GWB (George Washington Bridge)

Taken from the passenger’s seat because I never learned to drive.
The full moon looked so gorgeous I just had to try and get a picture of it.
Unfortunately the moon always looks a lot closer than it is.
The second photo was a surprise – don’t know how it happened – but I like it.

from a table at Starbucks 09.15.08

I realized I hadn’t posted here via mobile in a while, so why not tonight?

It was Monday x 2, and I’m having a much deserved iced chai with soy & a slice of lowfat blueberry coffee cake.

There’s a simply wonderful full moon out. Maybe some of it’s magical light will inspire a post for my creative writing blog.

That particular blog is like traffic in midtown – start and stop. During the weekend I pulled everything down, and activated a new template. It’s very simple. Black, white with dark red links – a combination I’ve always liked.

The problem actually is not lack of ideas, it’s too many ideas fightig it out in my head at once. Hopefully there will be a winner soon.

Wish I could be like my blogbuddy Lissa over at http://www.justwritingwords.com. There’s something new there all the time.

I downloaded three songs onto my laptop this week: Pink’s Who Knew & Let’s Get This Party Started and Duffy’s Mercy. Both women have great voices. Duffy has a throaty Aretha thing going on, and you just know she’ll be recording for years to come.

When I get home I’m shaking myself out. It’s a warm up exercise learned from a yoga teacher friend of mine years ago. Shake each of your limbs out rag doll style. Afterwards do your entire body. You can actually see a difference in length between the shaken and unshaken limbs.

Heart is a yoga enthusiast, so I expect a phone call regarding the above.

One of the staff members here is on break. He is reading poems aloud from a book titled Good Poems to a co-worker. How sweet is that?

I have a 5 dollar Duane Reade coupon in my bag, so that’s my next stop. Think I’ll treat myself to one of those facial packets, something cool and tingly to wear while I soak in a hot tub.

Off I go.

May you all be well.

Philadelphia Mosaic

My She Who Blogs Buddy Hazel suggested a Philly mosaic after she saw my New York one.

tidying up things online a bit today…

Cleaned out my msn and Yahoo mail folders today.  Gadzooks were things piled up.

Also gave my creative writing blog a new look - it’s a new WordPress theme called DePo Masthead

Hopefully it’s magazine like look will inspire me to do some serious posting.

Today’s Photo Hunt theme was WILD.  You can check out my post here if you like.

Waving at you all from New York.
