morning from the 1 train 06.05.09

Things have been so incredibly busy since day one of June.

Tomorrow I am taking the whole day to just walk around town and decompress.

This morning I dug my all-time favorite Old Navy t-shirt out of the closet. It’s dark orange with a mandala on the front. The logo appears in the tiniest script. I wish I had bought multiples of it. It’s so old now I only wear it 2 or 3 times a summer.

The clouds are supposed to take a rest this weekend. It’s been soggy for days. Here in the city people take to the street in monsoon-like conditions to get from point A to B. In the suburbs people with SUVs as big as my apaprtment won’t come out if they feel a drop.

Then again city folk tend to shop for food every day or couple of days, while their suburban cousins fill three jumbo carts. When you have supplies like that you can hunker down in front of the set till things look better. But then again let’s not forget NYC’s myriad take out options.

Tonight I will probably bop down to the Internet cafe to work on a couple of little projects. You know how I like a break from from my own ‘puters.

Well, here’s my stop.

See you all again soon.

  1. I like the suburban distinctive approach you painted. Hunker with supplies like that :)
