An area of Central Park (near West 72nd Street) dedicated to the memory of John Lennon.
Fans from all over the world gather at the Imagine mosaic to take photos, leave small trinkets & sing.

The Dakota. John Lennon lived in this building, and was often seen walking about the Upper West Side.
The building is located at West 72nd Street & Central Park West.

I’ve been there, it was a few years ago… it’s a lovely spot in the park. Love the daisies in a circle.
This is a place I want to go soon and especially during the Imagine mosaic.
Pretty photos- Love the song title for Lennon. Waving ~~~~~~~
Wow, that brings back memories of a Sat. night in Manhattan when parking could not be found. So my friend and I bribed the parking attendant in the basement of the Dakota $25 to let us park illegally so that we could go across the street to our friend Clint’s apt. He lived in the Oliver Cromwell. Those were some fun times.
I’d heard of it, but never seen it, so thanks for the knowledge and thanks for the memories such a post and photos create.
