Right now I’m on the 1 train zooming toward uptown Manhattan.
Four young Hispanic women talk non-stop in a mixture of Spanish & English. The flow between the 2 languages is so natural. The ring leader is a big gal with wild hair streaked a reddish-blonde, who seems to dispense good advice, her companions listen attentively.
The woman to my left is just about my age. She’s one of those women who gets on the train looking like she just fell out of bed, and by the time she exits she’s a magazine cover. The first two stops were devoted to her hair; make-up took three stops. Just before she exited the train, a final coat of baby pink lipstick was applied perfectly without a mirror.
When I got off the train I needed to break a twenty for the bus, so I bought three bucks worth of scratch offs. Perhaps my next post will be from the deck of a cruise ship.
On the bus right now. It pulled in to the station almost as soon as I arrived. Don’t you love it when you make all your connections?
Speaking of connections I spoke with Etan. He has come down from the mountain to do some My India presentations. Oh, and just so you know mountain was literal not figurative.
The post right beneath this one has dates, times, and locations.
Hopefully I will be posting one with an East Coast location soon.
My stop is coming up soon, so it’s ta-ta for now.
Til later.

You write so well of your experiences in the city. It seems you’re comfortable there.
I try to imagine that Hispanic woman’s hair a reddish blond. I think that would be a site to behold. On the flip side, I’m surprised the other woman was able to get cleaned up so quickly. I suppose one can see a lot in NY.
Hope all is well. Have a great day.
