It’s a nice little place downtown near Madison Square Park. I just ordered myself some Coconut Shrimp w/ Cajun Marmalade, and since it’s Sunday and the weather was all I wanted it to be I’m celebrating with a Diet Coke.
It’s Now or Never is playing on the sound system. Sounds like Elvis. You just can not not sing along with that song.
The shrimp were very crispy with lots of coconut on them. They were just slighty overdone, but still quite nice with the sauce.
I ordered the Maryland Crab Cake sandwich for my entree. The Shrimp Bisque was my first choice, but it’s made with celery, which is the enemy.
This place has a fishing theme going on, and a cute little French boy is completely amazed by a big plastic sailfish mounted over a booth.
I Can See Clearly Now is on the sound system now. My youth passes before my eyes.
The barmaid is a perky little thing. She gives everyone the big hello, but is really not interested in anything but the game playing on the set.
The crabcake sandwich was quite respectable. The bread could have been a little more special than an ordinary hamburger bun, and the cake was noticeably smaller than the bun. Yes, I notice every little thing lol.
I’m going to enjoy my Diet Coke for about 20 minutes more, then head out for a bit more photostrolling. I want at least 30 shots that I love by the end of the day, that means I’ll need to take about 45-50.
After photostrolling I’m heading to Borders for a book, and Macys for a look around.
The barmaid is busy filling all her ketchup and tobasco bottles. Looks like no one did any sidework for her, I got my salt, pepper and ketchup halfway through my meal.
Yesterday was my son-in-law’s 33rd birthday. He’s about six and a half years older than my daughter. A devoted husband, he saw her through her bout of cancer. I firmly believe she might not have made it without him.
Now there I go getting all sniff sniff boo hoo. Time to wash my face and get moving.
I’ll check in with you all later.
Toodles.
