Which is always better than a snowy one.
I’m on the 1 train jetting uptown. There’s actually quite a few people in the last car with me this morning.
The young lady across from me has the loudest music ever pouring into her ears via headphones. I wonder what will be left of her hearing by time she is twenty?
The young man to my right scribbles furiously in his notebook, The look on his face indicates a definite case of ‘falling asleep without finishing homework.’
We’ve just emerged from the tunnel; the 125th St. Station is above ground. The sudden burst of light is always nice, during an otherwise dark trip.
We’re at 137th Street now, and most of the passengers are gone. Miss Music is still here brightening everyone’s day with what passes for music these days.
Goodness did I just give my age away. What can I tell you? Just about everything these kids like drives me crazy. LOL.
We’re on 145th now – Miss Music looks like she’s getting up – yes she has exited the car.
Hope you’ve been checking out the NaBloPoMo links. Yesterday I posted Mother Teresa of Calcutta. I love to read her story. Sometimes I even see nuns from her order on the subway. You don’t see very many nuns anymore. I was taught by nuns in grade and high school. Very dedicated women, I’ll always remember them with love.
And with that I wish you all happy trails.
