Things to love about my city

Hello Readers, this is Lissa and this will be my blog for the week of February 14 through 20 for an experiment called the 7 Blog Exchange Experiment. The first topic is “things to love about your city.”

I live in New York for almost all my life and yet I am not quite a New Yorker. Sometimes I feel I’m more of a tourist. I still keep finding new things to look at every day. So here are some of my favorite things about New York, with photos, of cause. Click on the image for larger views.

The Parks

There are so many, many beautiful parks in New York. I’ve only visited a few and hope to expand the list. My two favorite parks are below.

The subway

I cannot imagine New York without the subway system. Without it, I would be forever stuck in Brooklyn.

The unexpected

You’ll never know what you’ll see. Just stepping outside is an experiment.

The people

Not just regular New Yorkers but the tourists as well. The mood is always more cheerful than expected.

I know this post is photo oriented but that is the only way that New York can be view – through the eyes and through a camera. The above are just a glimpse into New York City. There so many, many places to visit. For more on New York, visit the official New York State Tourism website.

And the street performers – I love street performers.
    This exchange is such fun.

  3. Your photos are familiar to me because of all the American films I’ve watched. You also have a very distinctive style. I can tell you love your city. Every image is captured with such care.
