Is it Friday already?

I had kicked the week off with a visit to my daughter. That was simply the best.

On Wednesday I revealed my dark side regarding films.

I fired up The Meme Section with Friday 5, Friday Fill-In, The Meme Express, &  I Want.

WordPress.com has a new poll feature; my first one went up yesterday.  It’s got possibilities.

Would you believe I didn’t take a single photo all week?

Today dear camera called out: “What gives?” from the depths of my tote bag.

I promised him we’d go photostrolling this coming Sunday.

He squinted his lens at me and grunted.

Guess he’ll believe it when he sees it.

Waving at you from New York.

While rummaging around a storage disk I found content from one of my former blogs.

So I thought why not post a few.

So tonight I sat with my good friend and we talked about men.

Sorry fellows we were not kind.

We talked of the schmucks who describe themselves as handsome, athletic and terribly interesting in personal ads and post a picture only a really doting mother could love.  A maximum weight allowed is often found in those same ads.

We talked of men who try to slink out of relationships by not calling for a while and hoping you will just leave quietly.  The fact that you invested two years of your life in them shouldn’t go to your head.  What?  You’d like an explanation? Well, uh you know ummmm….

We covered the cheapos, unemployed musicians, users, abusers and out and out losers.

And then we plotted how to get my friend a new boyfriend!

Hugs all around

At last my long awaited full moon and it gleamed like no other in my memory.

The lunar eclipse was the bonus.

My afternoon was all mixed emotions but the evening saw me at my focused best.

Earlier this month I told you all that this full moon would mark the official beginning of the  second half of my life.

To mark this day I made a donation to a worthy cause, visited a friend who is at at an all-time low, and treated my significant other to a yummy surprise dinner.

Friday night I will have a private ceremony where I will forgive all those I have issue with -  including myself.

You all take care.

So I am sitting here watching The Witches of Eastwick and waiting for my delivery from a new Middle Eastern restaurant.  I ordered all veggie and it should be interesting because the place comes highly recommended.  The girl who took my order was not much of a mathematician, when asked how much it was she said 21 or 22 dollars.  I guess I will find out for sure when the order arrives.

I love The Witches of Eastwick because the characters in it are women who break out!  Funny what group dating can do for you sometimes.

It was a quiet day for me.  I didn’t rush anywhere for anything but still managed to get a lot done. The good news is a class I signed up for was postponed two weeks so I have the weekend to myself.  Atlantic City is beckoning to me.   Whether I will answer her call is undecided but it sure would be nice to park myself on the beach for a day or two.  I am really not interested in gambling this time around.  And it is such a cheap trip.  You get a round trip ticket for 25 bucks and 18 comes back to you in casino spending money.   The ticket is good for any bus within 96 hours of purchase.  You can eat till you bust for less than 20 sometimes 10 dollars a meal at all the buffets.  The only real cost is the hotel, and there are quite a few little ones round the corner from the glittery Boardwalk ones.  It’s a thought.  I have a few bucks in my piggy bank begging to be spent, and I took the call from the school as a sign.

I have had the apartment all to myself since Monday.  Everyone is away on a conference.  It’s a taste of living alone.  I moved straight from my family’s home to an apartment with my husband; I have never lived on my own.  I guess I would be okay at it.  Actually it’s been very quiet and I haven’t done a thing out of the usual.

Well let me go visit some other sites.

Toodles.

Lissa just made a groovy new header for my creative writing blog.

Looking forward to your comments/prompts.

Ciao for now

Lissa created a site map for all my blogs and bits.

Just Expressing Myself.com

You can visit her at She Designs

will be joining the sidebar.

New York Offbeat

Right now you’ll find the first posts there.

I’m working on a links page, and some other bits and pieces which will be up soon.

Waving at you all from you know where.

Frances

Today I put up a short bit of fiction at my creative writing site. It’s called The Wasabi Incident, and it took me less than 15 minutes to write. If I start rewriting then it will never get posted. I guess that’s why I love mobile and micro blogging so much. Bang it’s up there.

Speaking of microblogging - think I’ll go Plurk & Twitter a bit.

My Plurk Page

My Twitter Handle is Coffeebarchick

Just finished a Writers Island prompt at blogforth, it was about Grandma’s Thanksgiving meals - need I say more?
It’s amazingly hot outside - nearly 95 degrees,
As much as I wanted to head for Coney the news predicted crowds of 350k at the city’s beaches, so I figured wait a week.
I had a diet peach green tea and a delicious chicken salad sandwich for lunch. Bravo whoever selects these things for Starbucks, They have cranberries and tarragon mixed into chicken salad, and it makes your tummy smile.
There’s a movie out called Savage Grace playing down the street, and it looks really good, Ninety percent sure that’s where I am headed next.
After the movie it should be dark and cooler out, so I will walk home.
And yes I am stopping off for a cocktail or two.
Oh if you want to read about Grandma’s Thanksgiving Meal head over to blogforth. The link is in the sidebar.
See you in the funny pages

the theme is BAD HAIR

Check It Out Here

It’s 94 degrees out.  The air conditoner is full blast.

Think I’ll work on a post for She Who Blogs

Back at you in a bit.

My cell phone wouldn’t allow me to send or receive MMS.  This means I could not moblog from my Blackjack.  It’s the service not the phone - I just have to wait it out.

You can read about it here

I got my first post up at blogforth - The Return

Spent most of the day running around town, and talking to customer service.  In about 20 minutes I’m going to find a quiet corner somewhere and hide out with my notebook.

Meanwhile check out the pic I used for Wordless Wednesday.

Okay now give yourself a big hug.
Much bloglove to all.

I’ve been working on my various blogs a lot lately, and this week is blogforth’s turn.

A pre-made WordPress template called Regulus by Binary Moon felt right, so I went with it.

It has a full moon in the header - I love a full moon.

Just a few days ago I discovered m.wordpress.com which allows me to post via my mobile phone.  Creative writing is something I like to do in cafes.  Hey, it’s the reason my daughter named me coffeebarchick.  Transcribing from my notebooks is hard, because I can’t read my own writing anymore.  The laptop is too much too much to carry.  This summer it’s going to be my NEO & Sidekick.

The NEO is for working on the trio of short plays that I hope to finish by September.  The Sidekick for poetry and creative writing on the go.  It should be interesting to see what I produce without benefit of a half dozen rewrites.

And how are all of you?

This is the mobile post version - more detailed version to follow.

Oh and I did Friday Feast & Friday Fill-Ins at The Meme Section

Ciao for now.

Okay so yesterday I sent in my link for the April NaBloPoMo blogroll.  The theme is LETTERS, and there will one a day at my creative writing blog for the next 30 days.

Next I went to work on my profile for Script Frenzy.  The goal is to create a 100 page script(s) in 30 days.  I’ll be using Scripped; “the first free-flowing, web based script writing software you can use right in your browser.”

I’ve had three plays all worked out in my mind for at least two years now. Maybe the notes in my journals and images on my mind’s screen will be at least one script in 30 days. There is a forums section at the Script Frenzy site, and I’m hoping some folks in New York will want to meet up.

Sending my best bloggy wishes your way.

This is a smaller version of my Saturday Photo Hunt up. The theme was HIGH.

sundayjuly1 002-1

The round frame is part of a sculpture in front of the building.   I sort of shimmied underneath it and shot up. This photo is one of my personal all-time favorites.

NaBloPoMo March (lists) is almost over, and I have decided to do April.  The theme will be letters.  I’ll be posting at my creative writing blog because it needs a major jumpstart.  No posts since end of January - can you imagine? Well, I’m hoping to make a comeback.

Speaking of NaBloPoMo I have to go get a list together.

Cheers

Every once in a while I browse through The Daily Meme to see what’s new.

Generally I post memes here.

These are some questions I found at a The Daily Answer.

I’m answering them here for no particular reason at all.

Where are you in the housing market? Buying? Selling? Refinancing? Staying put? Would you ever buy a new house without selling your house first?

We have a very very small apartment in a very very old building here in Manhattan. It’s rent controlled which is almost impossible to find these days, so I guess we’ll be here for the duration. I’ve already lived here more than half my life.

What ice cream flavor could you do without?

Coffee

What was the last test you took? Did you pass it?

I actually took a class via phone yesterday. It took 3 hours and 41 minutes, and I passed.

I love photos! Do you participate in Wordless Wednesday?

I’m a fairly regular participant, but I skipped this week because my favorite camera stopped working last week. Even though I have a new one I am still sort of mourning the other one. Maybe I’ll be in the mood to have a bit of a photostroll this Sunday.

Here’s the weekly questions for Wednesday Mind Hump.

Ice in your drink, or no ice?

Generally I prefer no ice at all. Like my father I actually will drink a can of room temperature soda. My husband cringes when I do this.

Shoes or barefoot?

Outside - shoes
Inside - socks
We have very old wood floors, and you can get the occasional splinter.

Newspapers or online news?Online news generally, but I occasionally read a newspaper if one happens to be around.

Zoos or amusement parks?

I am afraid of fast rides, and the new theme parks are not for me. New York’s Coney Island though is one of my favorite places in the world. This is the last season though, next year it gets all sanitized and plasticized. **sigh

Zoos are wonderful photo opps.

The Rainforest Zone 2

Whoa Two Polar Bears

Baseball or football?

If I must watch a game I prefer baseball.

Movies or TV?

Movies!
Though TV can be fun too.

The Meme Section

This week’s theme is wood.

Be back at you soon,

Frances

It’s going to be hosted here at WordPress.

It’s going to be all about New York.

It’s going to be available for public consumption on February 2oth.

That’s the date of the Full Moon, because you know that’s how I like to do these things.

Just woke a friend up with a bright cheery phone call.

Hey, it was important - I want them to bring some Indian food for lunch.

And they were supposed to be up and at it quite a while ago anyway so…

Used a pic of my Dad for this week’s Photohunt.  The theme is IMPORTANT.

While browsing through Amazon for Flips I noticed they carry clothing - in my size.

This could be dangerous.

Here’s another version of my latest Photostroll photo.

january172008 007

Hopefully we’ll have clear weather tomorrow, so I can get some new shots.

Everyone enjoy your Saturday.

My Ten Best Photos of 2007 over at The Meme Section

Back at ya later,

Frances

This week has been something else.

But you know what?

Everything worked out, and I have planned myself a great weekend.

Saturday I’m going to an event.

Sunday is for photostrolling, posting to my blogs, and breaking in my new journal.

And the weatherman says it will be a warm - going as high as 57 degrees.

Just writing about it makes me feel better.

Here’s my Friday Feast

Went through some of my photos and found this rose I shot one summer afternoon.

Just added a new Thursday Thirteen to my meme blog.

This morning I posted to my mobile blog  about last night’s total blogger block.

And how are all of you?

posted my Writers Island

and cracked open a cold Sierra Mist - a definite aah moment.

Thought I’d try something different today, so I posted my Sunday Scribbling on my moblog.  It took me about 20 minutes to tap out on my Nokia phone keypad.  While I tapped I stopped for sips of decaffeinated Carmel Machiatto; I do a lot of my moblogging at Starbucks and on the subway.  What can I say?  Those are two places that inspire me.

I got another early birthday/Christmas present.  The Samsung Blackjack aka the phone I’ve been wanting for months.  It will not replace my Nokia; it’s replacing the Sony on my second line.  It’s has 3G technology and an awesome screen, so I can check in my blogs while on the go.  This my friends could lead to some astounding phone bills.  Note to myself - add some sort of package to the account pronto.

I got a few other things done including that all important load of laundry, paying a credit card bill and returning a DVD to Blockbuster.

I’m in Jersey now, waiting for my friend J to come meet me for Mexican food and lots of girl talk.

How are all of you?

Just posted my Saturday Photo Hunt over at my meme blog.

And I checked out the prompt at Sunday Scribblings.

It’s walk; walking is one of my very favorite activities, so that might be a very long post.

And how are all of you?
