Last week I finally got around to visiting The Museum of The City of New York.  I ended up becoming a member, and attending two of the evening lectures. 

The name Annapoorneshwari means “Feeding one and all”.  I shot this on a trip to temple Saturday night.

The number 5.  One of my favorite rides. This bus goes from The Washington Bridge down to the South Ferry and back again. If you catch it going downtown you’ll go through The Upper West Side, Central Park South, down Fifth Avenue, through Midtown, The Flatiron, Chelsea, Greenwich Village and The Lower East Side.  It’s a tour of Manhattan for $2.25!

I posted about Echo earlier in the week.   She’s quite mysterious by the light of the night don’t you think?

After I was registered in the ‘Foreigners book’ The inspector asked me if I would like to have some lunch. I was already smiling when he offered to share the tiffin his wife prepared (the Indian compartment lunch box combo).

We went down to the government diner in the first floor, sat in a picknick table outdoors and he shared everything he had with me.

Getting up from the table he invited me to meet him two weeks later at the improvised police station of a 2 day festival I was intending to attend as well.

Sushi and I met while I was photostrolling through Riverside Park this afternoon. He was lunching on a bench with his owner and some friends. He’s 2 years old, from California, and doesn’t mind being admired & photographed.

Here’s a few more shots. The yellow flowers are magnolias.

After I left the museum I headed for Central Park, even though it was cold, damp and overcast. I wasn’t the only one.

It is officially spring, but it sure hasn’t been spring-like. Regardless NYCers were out walking, biking, shotting photos even napping on the grass – in heavy jackets!

Hopefully next Sunday will be the warm and sunny. Whatever the weather I’ll be out there.
