Rango, really big roses & a new blog
It’s been five big days since I posted here at blogjem. So let’s see what have I been doing?
Well, on Saturday past my good buddy invited me to see Rango. You read about how great she is, and how awful the movie was at my Posterous blog.
On Sunday I just spent the day on my own. Did a bit of a photstroll in the late afternoon, and ran into these awesome roses on Park Avenue.
Then I popped across the street to Borders Books to Borders and bought:
After that I strolled back to Columbus Circle, where I caught a little New York style entertainment.
and about the cutest banquet scene ever.
Monday I decided to finally launch my fictional blog – Observe Converse. I won’t even tell you how long along I wrote that first post. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Ciao for now.
what’s in the camera March 2nd 2011

The Museum of Natural History has been a favorite of mine since childhood.

Isn’t amazing how the trunk of this ivy has wound itself through bannister?

I thought I heard a call for help.
Chef A continues to sweetly torture me with her fresh baked goodies. I admire but don’t buy. **sob

banana flowers?
So I was cruising through one of the markets in Little India aka Jackson Heights, Queens, NY when I spotted this:

I wanted to buy one, just to cut it open. I imagined a miniature bunch of bananas inside each one. In the end I decided to shoot first, and Google later.
Think I’ll try this recipe out.
torture by cupcake – the sweetest pain of all
Okay so I have drastically cut back on my wheat and dairy consumption because of allergies. Last night I decided to go to a very local, yet out-of-the-way watering hole in my neighborhood.
Wouldn’t you know it? The place was being rented out for a birthday party the next day. A kid’s party. To be even more precise; a kid’s party complete with dozen’s of cupcakes. Said cupcakes were pulled from the oven, and set out to cool right in my view. As you can see I watched Chef A pipe fresh buttercream frosting on to each one. There were gummie bears and rainbow sprinkles too – sob

introducing Marylin of softthistle.net
Marylin lives in Scotland with zack & Max, two of the cutest little boys on Planet Earth.
She gave me permission to post this photo over at She Who Blogs - hope she doesn’t mind that it made a quick stop here first ![]()
Actually she’s the featured post over at SWB right now. Check out Day 54 of her Project 365.

etan in india – photos from Maharashtra
Each e-mail brings bits of the adventure and memorable photos.
Etan writes:
Yesterday I slept over, in the local school, on a peninsula island that is surrounded by a river on one side and the ocean on the other…
Yesterday we followed the carriage with the temple’s golden top on a road parallel to the ocean, at night dancing along the way to the temple, barefoot for 3 hours. I hope to return today.
